Q: Who are we and what do we offer?
A: Established in 2012 by Jelena Havelka, in Osijek, Croatia, Havelkadesign d.o.o. is a full service Interior Design Studio that is specialized in custom residential and commercial interiors. The company have started with a basic idea of it's founder to bring higher service quality in the industry, on local and regional level. Today, the company is a well-known and recognizable partner in the Croatian interior design eco-system.
Havelkadesign d.o.o. offers a full personalized & customized interior design projects, that include variety of services requiered for completly finishing the needed tasks, from design consulting, concept development or 3D visualisations or technical drawings, to project cost specifications, on-site supervision and collaboration with third party providers.

A: Whether you need a little help or a lot, from answers to a few questions on color selection or furniture layout to help on planning and completing a complicated remodel or new construction project, the advice and guidance of an Interior Designer is invaluable.

Q: What are our fees?
A: Different aspects of the project or services needed by the customer, define the project fees. Our service fees can vary from one-time fee per hour (only verbal consulting service), pre-fix rate fee, costs per square meter and similar. Even that each project is different and every customer have different demands, we try to have a flat-rate per hour for our services.
On the other side, as part of the global project, we can provide specialized services and products from our partners or third-party providers. That collaboration can include additional freight or delivery fees for the products or the services, which are forwarded to the customer.
Q: What those fees cover?
- Schematics, space planning, lighting design, renderings, working drawings and finish selections of new materials
- Design of custom window and bedding treatments, shades or blinds
- Preparation of estimates and purchasing
- Coordination with contractors, architects and installers
- Subsequent consultations with the client and suppliers
- Researching sources for materials or products
- Overall project management and overseeing installations
Q: The difference between an Interior Decorator and an Interior Designer?
A: You may have occasionally heard the terms for interior decorator and interior designer interchanged. However, there is a difference between the two titles. An interior decorator generally refers to someone who deals with finishes, surfaces, furniture, and wall coverings. Also, an interior decorator may work in a variety of venues from a design showroom to a remodeling retail store.
An interior designer is a more specialized career field, requiring a certain combined level of education, work experience, and licensing. An interior designer may create spaces for the inside of a commercial office building, design the lighting for a restaurant, or select the furnishings of a home. An interior designer may also deal with issues of safety like accessibility and building codes.
